This poem is from Hopscotch, a collection of poems concerned with notions of nostalgia, neighourhoods, family, and larger collections of people; ‘College, Collagen, Collision’ in particular examines how and why people come or are brought together, and the difficulty of navigating the noise that results.

  • Dave Drayton was a recreational banjo player, Vice President of the Australian Sweat Bathing Association, founding member of the Atterton Academy, and 2014 recipient of the William Blake Prize for poetry.
